TSS Uttam Nagar Celebrates Dussehra with Enthusiasm!
October 11, 2024
Today, TSS Uttamnagar marked the auspicious occasion of Dussehra with a vibrant celebration. Staff and teachers dressed in traditional attire added to the festive spirit during the Dandiya Celebration.
As a symbolic gesture, students wrote down their bad habits on chits a day prior, which were then compiled into a ‘potli’ and placed inside the effigy of Ravana.
The event’s highlight was the energetic participation of students in Dandiya and Garba dances after Ravan Dahan, filling the atmosphere with joy and festivity.
The celebration reinforced the values of victory of good over evil, self-reflection and personal growth.
The Best Clean Class and Most Disciplined Class Award
To promote the habit of cleanliness and discipline TSS has started Best Clean Class and Most Disciplined Class Award.
It is given fortnightly. There are 2 Categories. Primary Wing(1-5) and Secondary Wing (6-10).

Leadership building in Investiture Ceremony at TSS
TSS proudly conducted the investiture ceremony for School Council 2024-25 members to recognize and nurture the leadership qualities among students on 27 July 2024.
With a platform like the investiture ceremony, by honoring students with leadership positions, TSS reinforces the importance of leadership and provides them with opportunities to develop essential leadership skills.
Ten clubs’ President and Vice president, Sports Captain, Deputy Sports Captain, House Captain and Vice Captain, Head Boy, and Head Girl from the three branches were sworn in their new role.
INTERNATIONAL CHESS DAY
International Chess Day is celebrated annually on July 20, a date chosen to commemorate the founding of the International Chess Federation (FIDE) in 1924. This day is a tribute to the game’s rich history and its profound impact on cultures worldwide.
The Physical Education Department at TSS conducted a Chess competition for the students of grade 6 to grade 10 to commemorate the International Chess Day.
Principal Ms. Jayshree Kadam inaugurated the competition and delivered an inspirational speech to motivate the students.

Two teams of TSS, category under 14 and 17 participated in the District Level Tennis Ball Cricket tournament held on 14.07.2024. Both the teams secured the 1st 🥇position.
Today, the students were appreciated for their great victory in the school’s morning assembly.
